Films: An American Werewolf in Paris (1997)
Alias: Serafine Pigot, Claude, Andy McDermott
Type: Mystical
Location: Civilized Area
Height/Weight: That of average humans.
Affiliation: Good (Serafine, Andy), Evil (Claude)
Summary: Any of you remember the tragedy of David Kessler, the reluctant werewolf who could talk to ghosts? Well then you're probably wondering what became of whatever offspring he had with his girlfriend. Oh she's alive, but she's wishing she wasn't.
History: Serafine Pigot was the offspring of David, and inherited his lupine curse. Driven to suicide, she is saved by a visiting American named Andy after her failed attempt to jump off the Eiffel Tower. But the both of them soon realize that there's a whole coven of werewolves led by the sinister Claude, and now poor Andy is a werewolf too, with all the horrible side-effects that David suffered long ago.
Notable Kills: See Final Fate.
Final Fate: Andy soon realizes that the werewolf who bit him was Claude himself. The two square off in a subway train, and Andy emerges victorious, eating Claude's heart and ending his curse. As for Serafine, it is revealed that adrenaline keeps the curse at bay, and she goes with Andy to live out a happy life full of thrills and love.
Powers/Abilities: None.
Weakness: Eating a werewolf's heart ends the curse. Adrenaline subdues it.
Scariness Factor: 2.5-Sadly, these werewolves don't hold a candle to how frightening David was. The mediocre CGI is what does it in for us. A pity too, considering how much more mobile these guys are.
Trivia: -Much of this film's concept was based on a dilemma that John Landis faced making the original film. He almost ended up being forced to make his film in Paris, but he managed to get the chance to do London back. Funnily enough, he was considered to direct this film.
-The alternate ending was much darker, with Andy and Serafine's child bearing the wolf curse before our eyes.
